Issue/Introduction

In Tanzu Hub v10.4 you can now receive all logs form the EAR platform using OTEL collector. This can be achieved by utilising Platform Services  tile. The "All Logs" setting in the Platform Services Connector is designed to orchestrate the telemetry pipeline, but because EAR 10.4+ uses a node-level OTel collector, the configuration must be materialized through the platform's standard deployment process.

Resolution

Setting the "automatic forwarding" option to All Logs in the Platform Services 10.4 Tile Connector will automatically configure the OTel section of the EAR tile to forward platform logs to Tanzu Hub. Note: Changes to OTel configurations in the EAR tile are not dynamic and require a redeploy of the affected VMs (such as Diego Cells) to update the OTel collector's local configuration files.
