How to register a redeployed VCF Operations instance in the VCF Business Services Console

Issue/Introduction

  • VCF Operations is redeployed in a VCF 9.x environment
  • In VCF Business Services console > License Management > VCF Operations Registrations, old VCF operations instance is still in a Licensed State
  • In VCF Operations > License management > Registrations, you have the below message:

VCF Operations is not registered

Environment

  • VCF Operations 9.x
  • VMware Cloud Foundation 9.x

Resolution

For license management after redeploying VCF Operations, you must deactivate the old instance and perform a new registration 

Deactivate the Old VCF Operation Instance:

  • Log in to the VCF Business Services Console at vcf.broadcom.com.
  • Click the vertical ellipsis next to VCF Operations instance you want to deactivate
  • Click Deactivate.
  • In the Deactivate a VCF Operations Instance dialog box, click Deactivate

Perform New Registration as per Registering VCF Operations with the VCF Business Services console

Note: During the registration the licenses from the old instance will be available to add to the New instance
