VCF Deployment of Fleet Components fails with error LCMVROPCONFIG20002

Issue/Introduction

During the deployment of Fleet Components from SDDC, the process will fail with a password complexity error.

From the domainmanager.log file, you may see something similar to the following: 

REQUEST_FAILED Request createenvironment failed with error cause [{"messageId":"LCMVROPCONFIG20002","message":"Operations admin password is missing/invalid. Please use special char from !@#$%^&*+= "

 

Environment

VCF 9.0.x

Cause

The password requirements for Fleet Components are different than those allowed for SDDC.  

Resolution

Update the passwords for the Fleet Components to use only the special characters suported for the components: ! @ # $ ^ *
