Tanzu Hub app lifecycle control fails with "Timeout on blocking read for XXX NANOSECONDS"

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to use the app lifecycle controls in Tanzu Hub 10.4, it fails with the error:

Tanzu Hub app lifecycle control fails with "Timeout on blocking read for XXX NANOSECONDS"

 

This has been observed when trying to delete an app, but it may also occur for other application operations.

Environment

Tanzu Hub 10.4

Cause

This can be caused if the tanzu_platform_admin user is not created in the foundation.

Resolution

Tanzu Platform admin is a role that needs an equivalent role created on connected foundations. Creating this user should resolve the issue.
