Issue/Introduction

Chrome fails to authenticate, appears paused on Mac as WSS is pending authentication and traffic from oauthaccountmanager.googleapis.com is stuck because it is unauthenticated.

 

Resolution

Traffic for oauthaccountmanager.googleapis.com is expected to be authenticated and is blocked by CASB because it is unauthenticated.

Workaround:

• Bypass WSS authentication for oauthaccountmanager.googleapis.com.
• Contact Symantec CASB support and enable Unauthenticated user as guest KB411374. This will stamp unauthenticated traffic as the guest user.  Policy can be applied as needed for the guest user.  CASB investigate can provide insight to traffic seen as guest.
