Inter-Site Service Router (SR) BGP neighborships fail to establish between edge nodes in an NSX Federation Environment.
BGP neighbors remain stuck in “Connect” state indefinitely:
Login to the corresponding Edge node as user admin and run the following commands.
Command output (get bgp neighbor summary under inter_sr_vrf) shows “Connect never” under State Up/Down time:
edge01> set debug
edge01> vrf internal
edge01(inter_sr_vrf)> get bgp neighbor summary
Skip to announce (########-####-####-####-1c301cd71b07, 169.254.xx.xx) due to lport doesn't have linked port
The UUID of the internal routing LS port (Tier0 VRF > get interfaces) appears as:
00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000
This prevents inter-site routing and BGP adjacency formation
