Issue/Introduction

  • The Edge host name is in uppercase.
  • There is a requirement to change the Edge host name from uppercase to lowercase.

Environment

VMware NSX

Resolution

  1. Schedule a maintenance window.
  2. Ensure that forward and reverse lookup works for the altered host name.
  3. Go to the following location, update the host name and click Save. 

    NSX UI > System > Fabric > Nodes > Edge Name> > Action > Change Node Settings
