Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to Symantec Endpoint Protection 14.4, the browser-based login is failing with error [0xFFFF], meanwhile the old Java console remains operational.

You might see as well Unexpected error occurred during login [0x00]

Cause

The administrator's password contains special characters like '%', '+'

Resolution

This is a know issue impacting Symantec Endpoint Protection 14.4. The fix will be included in the upcoming release (TBC).

As a workaround, create a new SEPM administrator user with password which does not contain special characters like '%', '+'
