SOI 4.3 CU3 installation instructions mention missing registrydownloader.bat

Issue/Introduction

When following the SOI 4.3 CU3 Installation Instructions, users are directed to run a tool named registrydownloader.bat.

However, the tool is missing from the environment, and the following symptoms are observed:

• The registrydownloader.bat file cannot be located in the SOI directories.
• The WSO2 service (Catalyst Registry) is not present in the Windows Services console.

• Upgrading from CU2 to CU3

Cause

This is a documentation error in the SOI 4.3 CU3 Release Notes. The WSO2 service (Catalyst Registry) was removed from the product starting with SOI 4.3 CU2. Because the service is no longer used, the registrydownloader.bat and registryloader.bat utilities are obsolete and were removed from the installation media and target directories.

Resolution

The step requiring the execution of registrydownloader.bat can be safely ignored.

1. Proceed with the SOI 4.3 CU3 installation as documented.
2. When reaching the step titled "Run registrydownloader.bat", skip it entirely.
3. Continue with the remaining installation and post-installation steps.
