VMware SDDC Manager / VCF Installer VMware Aria Operations (formerly vRealize Operations) 8.x

Issue/Introduction

  • SDDC Manager Health Checks (SOS) fail to trigger automatically from VMware Aria Operations 8.18.6.
  • The VMware Infrastructure Health (VIH) adapter instance collection status appears Green/OK in the Aria Operations UI, but no new health data is being received.
  • Manual attempts to restart the VIH adapter collection do not resolve the issue.
  • The SDDC Manager nginx logs show no incoming API calls for GET /v1/system/health-summary/.../data from the Aria Operations.
  • Manual trigger to run the health check on the SDDC Manager via Developer Centre works fine.
  • Metrics like SDDC Certificate details are not collected for the SDDC App in Aria Operation

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.6
SDDC Manager 5.2.x

Resolution

This issue has been resolved in VMware Aria Operations 8.18.7. We recommend upgrading to this version to permanently address the problem and benefit from the fix.
