Issue/Introduction

NSX VLAN backed segment configured with named uplink teaming policy is in failed state.

The segment is in failed state with following realization error -
The uplink teaming policy name ["<name>"] is not specified in the attached TransportZone [TransportZone/<TZ-UUID>].

Environment

VMware NSX

Cause

The uplink teaming policy configured under segment does not match the uplink teaming policy defined under the transport zone attached to the segment.

For e.g., the segment Test-VLAN-Segment is attached to transport zone VLAN-TZ and has uplink teaming policy Uplink-A. This uplink teaming policy should be exactly same as the policy defined under the transport zone.

Resolution

Check the uplink teaming policy attached to transport zone, from System > Transport Zone in NSX manager UI,  and configure the same uplink teaming policy in the segment.
