In VMware vSphere environments running on Dell hardware, administrators may observe specific advanced parameters in the ESXi configuration that are not present on other hosts. These parameters cannot be deleted or modified individually using standard CLI or UI methods, as they are registered by third-party software packages during installation.
Examples:
VMware vSphere ESXi 8.0
VMware vSphere ESXi 9.0
The advanced parameters are registered by the `dellfac` VIB during its installation process. Because these parameters are directly tied to the lifecycle of the `dellfac` software package, they remain persistent in the ESXi configuration and cannot be removed without uninstalling the associated VIB.
To remove these parameters, you must uninstall the VIB that registered them.
Before doing it, ensure that the VIBs are not needed/required , this is especially important in a VCF environment, the image compliance in cluster may report compliance issue when a VIB in images is removed manually.
