Job Load by Machine dashboard shows single ESP instance twice

Issue/Introduction

In the System Overview Dashboard, the Job Load by Machine insight displays two separate machine names for the same ESP scheduler system ․​​​​​‌​‍

 

SYMPTOMS:

• The Job Load by Machine report shows a [system-id] and "esp subsystem" as separate instances

   

• Clicking the [system-id] in the report shows jobs that list "esp subsystem" as their machine

   

• Searching the Jobs page filtered by machine=[system-id] returns no jobs

   

Environment

AAI 24.4 

Cause

The target machine for MVS jobs is resolved at runtime rather than matching the static job definition, causing the dashboard to display the runtime machine and the definition machine as separate entities

Resolution

This behavior is working as designed
