Upgrade plan error for Redis Enterprise Service Broker

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to use the VMware Tanzu Upgrade Planner to move from version 6.4.2103000001 to 7.8.4950000001, the process fails and an error similar to the following is displayed:

We couldn't find an upgrade plan for you. The release metadata on Broadcom's Support Portal for Redis Enterprise Service Broker for VMware Tanzu suggests that there is no upgrade path from 6.4.2103000001 to 7.8.4950000001. Please try again and if this error still appears, contact Broadcom Support for further assistance.

Cause

The issue is identified as a Product Metadata issue. Specifically, the upgrade paths for the target version are missing or incorrectly defined in the Broadcom Support Portal metadata.

Resolution

The resolution is currently Pending. The engineering team is working on a fix for the metadata. In the interim, customers are advised to contact Broadcom Support for further assistance and manual guidance.
