Issue/Introduction

When trying to activate license and vSphere Client plug-in management for a particular vCenter account in VCF Operations, following documentation: Configuring a vCenter Account in VCF Operations 

  • Selecting the vCenter account,
  • clicking the vertical ellipsis,
  • clicking Edit, and then click Manage Integrations,
  • The following Message is received.

The vCenter credentials you use must have the Global.Licenses privilege assigned and be
a member of the LicenseService.Administrators Single Sign-On group. Go to the vSphere
Client to configure them and try again.

Environment

VCF Operations 9.x

Cause

The vCenter credential is not a member of the LicenseService.Administrators Single Sign-On group.

Resolution

  1. log into the vSphere Client as an administrator, navigate to Administration > Single Sign-On > Users and Groups,
  2. select the Groups tab,
  3. add the user to the Administrators group
  4. From VCF Operations try and add a license to the vcenter
