Points to remember about when Global Tags are being applied to computers via rules

Environment

• App Control Windows Agent: All Supported Versions

Resolution

1. Setup Expert Rules following the documentation here
2. Once a Global Tag rule is triggered dascli classifications can be used to verify the tag has been applied
3. At the bottom of the output a list of global tags will show up following GlobalTags:

   cd "program files (x86)\bit9\parity agent"
   dascli password <globalclipassword>
   dascli classifications

• Tag usage in Expert Rule is covered here
• The DASCLI classifications or ruletags command can be used to view tags on an object
• Global Tags are applied to computers but are not "Computer Tags" so they do not show up under the Computer Tags column in Assets -> Computers
• User created tags are not persistent across reboots of the agent
