Issue/Introduction

Google Chrome introduced a Local Network Access (LNA) security feature that triggers a "Look for and connect to any device on your local network" pop-up prompt․․․․‌‌ This persistent pop-up interferes with automated workflows by requiring manual [Block] or [Allow] interaction.

ERROR MESSAGE:
    "[hostname] wants to:
Look for and connect to any device on your local network
     [Block]    [Allow]"

Environment

Product: AppNeta
Component: Enterprise Monitoring Point (EMP)

Cause

The issue is caused by a 3rd party security update in the Chrome browser that enforces a Local
Network Access (LNA) check. Because AppNeta EMPs launch Chrome within a specific Docker
container, a code fix is required at the container image level to disable this feature via command-line flags.

Resolution

This will be addressed in EMP update 17.1 (due ~ May 11th 2026)

Additional Information

Check the for the release notes when 17.1 is avaiable.
