High utilization within the root or nonconfig partitions triggers the precheck failure.
Resolution
It is imperative to clear the active disk space alarms on the NSX Manager prior to retrying the upgrade.

Refer to article 401173 to address high utilization on the nonconfig partition.
Execute the instructions in article 417465 if the nonconfig partition is completely full.
