Issue/Introduction

  •  On Zerto you have the following error during VMware Cloud Director(VCD)reflection, due to some Virtual Machines were are missing MoRefId:

    "Id": "urn:vcloud:vm:########-########-####-########ed1b", "MoRefId": null, "HRef": "https://<vcd-fqdn>/api/vApp/vm-########-########-####-########ed1b", "Name": "<Name of the VM>", "VDC": "urn:vcloud:vdc:<vdc_id>", "Org": "urn:vcloud:org:<org_id>", "Container": "urn:vcloud:vapptemplate:########-########-####-########bf32", "Status": "FailedCreation"

  • On VCD you will see the below error on tasks:

    com.vmware.ssdc.util.exceptions.FileNotFoundException: File ds:///vmfs/volumes/########-########-####-########e650/_<iso_name>.iso was not found at com.vmware.ssdc.library.vim.LmVim.Convert(LmVim.java:356)

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.1.1

Cause

This is caused by Virtual Machines that are in a "FailedCreation" or stale state inside the VCD database.
