Intertest CICS hangs when setting or removing breakpoints using the ITST menu.

Issue/Introduction

A sporadic issue occurs when using the Intertest CICS transaction ITST menu to set or remove breakpoints.
Occasionally, the Intertest session hangs. When this occurs, a CEMT INQ TASK command shows that the ITST transaction is in an IKCWAIT state.

Cause

BMC Mainview was purging the Intertest CICS service transactions that exceeded the CICS runaway task resource limit.

Resolution

To use InterTest for CICS with MainView for CICS (now part of BMC AMI Ops Monitor for CICS) product, exclude the Intertest transactions from the BMC AMI Ops Monitor for CICS Resource Limit (Time Out) Specification.
