Issue/Introduction

When a Rally item moves between projects and the destination Jira is configured as a single-project automation (Rally Project mapped to Jira Team, not Jira Project), ConnectAll incorrectly deletes the existing record link and attempts to create a new Jira issue. This results in either:

  • A duplicate Jira issue being created (missing field data like summary causes the first attempt to fail, but the next sync cycle creates a new record), or
  • The original Jira issue becoming orphaned (no longer linked to the Rally item)

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create an automation between Rally (multi-project) and Jira OnPrem (single project)
  2. Map Rally Project to Jira Team field (not Jira Project)
  3. Sync an initial item from Rally to Jira
  4. Move the Rally item to a different Rally project
  5. Wait for the next sync cycle

Actual Result: ConnectAll deletes the existing Jira link and attempts to create a new Jira issue, resulting in a duplicate or an orphaned original.

Expected Result: The existing Jira issue should be preserved. The Jira Team field should be updated via value mapping to reflect the new Rally project. No new Jira issue should be created.
