Default value on 'Track Mode' not applied when creating a Resource

Issue/Introduction

• Resource object has an attribute called 'Track Mode'
• The default against this attribute is set to 'PPM' via the Object
• This attribute is present in the layout:create of Labor Resources. That is, it gets shown when a new Labor Resource is attempted to be inserted into the system via the UI
• It is noticed in this page, that 'Track Mode' does not pick the default defined in the Object. It instead defaults to 'None'
• If a new Resource creation is persisted with, it is noticed that even in layout:edit, the default defined in the Object is not applied
• If 'Track Mode' is removed from the layout:create, then default defined in the Object is applied correctly.

Resolution

• Navigate to Administration > Objects > Resource Object > Views
• Look for 'Resource Labor' row > Click on 'Fields' hyperlink
• Look for 'Track Mode' row > Click on Properties (three horizontal lines icon)
• Here, a field called 'Override Default' is present, that has 'None' set against it
• Remove this value.

Workaround:

• Do not display 'Track Mode' in layout:create.
