Issue/Introduction

Users may notice that the Data Insight is only displaying job execution and dependency data for the current month and the previous month. Older historical data is not visible within the AAI interface, preventing users from reviewing long-term execution histories.

Environment

  • Product: Automation Analytics & Intelligence (AAI)

  • Version: 24.x

Cause

While a specific system error or root cause is not applicable (N/A), this is expected behavior based on system configuration. The availability of historical execution data is directly dependent upon exactly when the EXECUTION_TRIGGER was activated in your environment.

Resolution

Because data retention and visibility in AAI start based on the trigger activation, you must plan your configuration timing strategically.

Best Practice Recommendation: To ensure you have the maximum amount of data that Automic can provide to AAI on the very first day that the scheduler is running, it is highly advantageous to activate the EXECUTION_TRIGGER seven or more days before you intend to add your Automic schedulers into AAI.
