Issue/Introduction

One of our servers recently experienced high memory utilization, which appeared to be related to the CDM probe. Although the CDM probe was configured to ignore the NFS file system to prevent data collection, an underlying NFS problem was observed on the server. After resolving the NFS issue, the memory utilization returned to normal.

Environment

  • DX UIM 23.4 CU6
  • cdm 8.06

Cause

  • The cdm probe was scanning stale NFS entries despite cdm being configured to ignore them.

Resolution

  • Engineering provided a test build (cdm-8.06-T1-20260325.105224-11.zip) designed to exclude NFS scans entirely.

    • The build is attached to this article.
  • Memory utilization returned to normal after resolving the NFS issues and applying the test fix
