Question:

Setting log/sinks is as the following.

Type  : syslog

Filters : Gateway log

Others…default

[Syslog Settings]

Protocol : TCP

Others…default

In the above case,

What kind of operation does Gateway do when it can't be written in syslog( syslogd is down, Network Error, etc……)?

For example:

The logs are destroyed.

Or

Or

Others.

All supported versions of the CA API Gateway

Resolution

Answer:

There is no queuing that maintains the syslog so it will be lost.

Also, Gateway supports Syslog failover.
