Issue/Introduction

 

Introduction: 

Implementing the Directory Reader Diagnose Code and CPXLOAD not finding VMNDLK63 TEXT.   

 

Question: 

Trying to put the Diagnose into effect now.  Issued the CPXLOAD command as documented in the VM Product Manager Install Guide which failed because

it couldn't find file VMNDLK63 TEXT on the CP PARM disk.   

 

Environment:  

Implementing Directory Reader Diagnose on z/VM 6.3.0 system.    CA recommends you implement the Directory Reader Diagnose Code from user ID

PMAINT's CF0 (the PARM disk) had to be reaccessed using command CPACCESS.     

 

 

 

Additional Information

CA recommends you implement the Directory Reader Diagnose Code from user ID MAINT630.
If the CPXLOAD command results in the TEXT file not found, it is likely because the PARM disk needs to be reaccessed.

Example:

Logon to MAINT630 and reaccess the CF0 disk by issuing:   CPACCESS PMAINT CF0 B RR  (accessed as filemode B).
