Issue/Introduction

When a Java-based Unix Agent is stopped or restarted (or crashes) while jobs are still running on the operating system, it is designed to "re-attach" to those processes upon restart. Instead of continuing to run the job, the agent incorrectly marks it as ENDED_VANISHED

Environment

Automation Engine - V 24.4.x

Agent UNIX - V 24.4.4

Cause

Product Bug

Resolution

A code fix is required in the Unix Agent to ensure it correctly waits for the job messenger instead of prematurely checking the output file during a restart synchronization.

Planned Fix Versions:

  • Automation Engine 24.4.5
  • Automation Engine 24.4.4 HF1 (Hotfix) ( Expected to be released on or before April 17)

Workaround: None. Currently, there is no configuration-based workaround.
