Issue/Introduction

When installing antivirus software on servers running the SystemEDGE agent (e.g., RHEL 9.4), performance issues or monitoring interruptions may occur if the agent's directories are not properly excluded from real-time scans

Cause

ntivirus scanning of active agent directories can lock files or consume resources required for SystemEDGE AIMs (such as vCenter monitoring) to function correctly 

Resolution

To ensure optimal performance and prevent interference, exclude the SystemEDGE installation directory from all antivirus scans .

Recommended Exclusion Path

By default, the installation directory is:

• /opt/CA/SystemEDGE

Note: If you have installed SystemEDGE in a custom location, ensure that the specific custom path is added to your antivirus exclusion list instead.
