Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

  • After changing Orchestrator log settings in System Settings > Log configuration the log rotation /services-logs/prelude/vco-app/file-logs does not change
  • A log bundle collected from Aria Automation Orchestrator does not have the same log retention as seen on the webclient
  • older Workflow executions show no logs in the web client

Environment

Aria Automation Orchestrator 8.x

Resolution

The configured log rotation set in System Settings > Log configuration applies to logs for the Orchestrator client which are stored in /data/vco/usr/lib/vco/app-server/logs/.

Logs within folder /services-logs/prelude/vco-app/file-logs are rotated by the Appliance configured log rotation and therefor may be retained for a longer period.
