How can one maintain the Endevor element catalog file?

The following Endevor utilities exist to assist in maintaining the Endevor ELMCAT.
1 – The Catalog Rename Utility
The Endevor MCF Catalog Rename Utility lets you change the catalog name in the MCF's stage record. This utility should be run after you have created a new catalog and have defined it to the C1DEFLTS table.
To execute the rename utility, use member BC1JXCNM from your site's Endevor CSIQJCL library.
2 – The Catalog Synchronization Utility
The Endevor Catalog Synchronization Utility (BC1PCSYN) allows you to update the element catalog to recover differences between the element catalog and its related MCF files.
To execute the synchronization utility use JCL member BC1JCSYN, which is available in your site's Endevor CSIQJCL data set.
