Automic Ansible Agent v24.0.0 Returns 404 Not Found with Ansible Automation Platform 2.x

Issue/Introduction

When using the Automic Ansible Agent v24.0.0 to integrate with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) 2.x (specifically versions 2.5 and 2.6), connections fail with a 404 - Not Found error.

• The agent incorrectly attempts to access the API endpoint /api/v2/.
• Manual curl tests from the agent host to https://[HOSTNAME]/api/controller/v2/ succeed with an HTTP 200 response Automic Ansible integration agent endpoint failure.
• Automic job reports show the following error: ERROR: Possible Reason: Request failed: 404 - Not Found Automic Ansible integration agent

Resolution

This issue is addressed in Integration.Ansible.Tower 24.0.1.

1. Upgrade the Agent: Download and install the Automic Ansible Agent v24.0.1 (or higher) to restore compatibility with AAP 2.5/2.6 Automic Ansible integration agent endpoint failure.
2. Update Connection Object: Verify that the Endpoint field in the Automic Ansible Tower Connection Object correctly points to the new Gateway or Controller URL (e.g., https://[HOSTNAME]/api/controller/v2/) Automic Ansible integration agent
