"Invalid input detected at '^' marker" message in Edge SWG GUI

Issue/Introduction

Sometimes users may face an error "Invalid input detected at '^' marker" in proxy GUI when performing various actions, e.g.:

• Checking URL categorization
• Testing access log upload
• Checking SSH known hosts etc.

However, the same actions work fine in CLI (e.g. "test url example.com").

Environment

Edge SWG (formerly Proxy SG)

Cause

Please check whether the user has read-only privileges.

Proxy administrative console does not support read-only mode.

Resolution

As a workaround the customer may:

1. Access the proxy GUI in a read/write mode if the access restriction is not mandatory.

2. If the access must be restricted use Management Center to open SGAC in a read-only mode.
