Issue/Introduction

Gathering Guest Cluster(VKS) Support Bundle by running "vks-support-bundler" attached to KB "Gathering Logs for vSphere with Tanzu" failed with "404 Not Found" as shown below.

 

could not get create support bundler user account ##CLUSTER_NAME##: unable to create govmomi client with vcIp: ##WRONG_VCENTER_IP##, vcUname: [email protected], insecureFlag: true cacert :. Error: POST "/sdk": 404 Not Found

Environment

VMware vSphere 8.0 with Tanzu

Cause

The "-v" option incorrectly specified the "Control Plane Node Address" instead of the vCenter IP address.

Resolution

 

1. Identify the correct vCenter Server IP address for the target environment.
2. Re-run the vks-support-bundler command, ensuring the -v option specifies the correct vCenter Server IP address.
