Issue/Introduction

Spectrum creating error "SPC-OCC-10165" during NCM capture

Cause

Customer is running an NCM capture of HUAWEI devices and returning the following error message:

"SPC-OCC-10165: Unable to connect to the ncmservice. The ncmservice daemon may not be running on the SPECTRUM host machine."

Resolution

In the Configuration files of the captured device it was found that using non-English characters in the comments caused the error. After replacing the non-English characters, the issue was resolved at the next capture.
