Security Update Business Rule Type and Sub-objects

Issue/Introduction

When creating Security Update Business Rule Types I can not assign some sub-object related security rights, because some sub-objects do not appear on the selectable drop down. What does control the sub-objects to be selectable?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. MUX Administration > Blueprints > Project related blueprint
2. Business Rules > Create new Business Rule
   • Target object: Project
   • Rule Type: Security Update
   • Target Resource Attribute: Manager
   • Add Actions: Transfer Rights from Previous to New Resource
   • Add Rights: Look at sub-objects on the drop-down

Expected Results: Every project sub-object to be available for access rights transfers

Actual Results: Not all sub-objects are available.

All supported Clarity releases

Resolution

On the project object Blueprints only sub-objects where the parent object is set to Project will appear

If the sub-object parent is set to Investment, this will be excluded on the Project object related blueprints.

Sub-object rules can only be created in the parent Master Object Blueprint by design
