Issue/Introduction

This article provides the procedures for importing vTPM-enabled Virtual Machines managed by vCenter Server into VMware Cloud Director and sharing vApp templates via catalogs.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6

Resolution

 

  1. Configure vSphere Native Key Provider.
    Configure a vSphere Native Key Provider

  2. Create a Source Virtual Machine with vTPM Configuration.
    Create a Virtual Machine with a Virtual Trusted Platform Module

  3. Import to VMware Cloud Director and create vApp Template.
    Import a Virtual Machine from vCenter as a vApp in the VMware Cloud Director Tenant Portal

  4. Share the Catalog
    Share a Catalog in the VMware Cloud Director Tenant Portal
