Issue/Introduction

After installing the CA Service Desk Manager xFlow Analyst Interface from CA IT Service Management 14.1.03, when launching the xFlow interface, the images are displayed as broken in the web browser:

Cause

The IIS web site used by the xFlow interface does not have MIME types defined for the image files with extenstions .svg and .svgz image used by the xFlow interface.

Environment

CA Service Desk Manager Desk Manager 14.1.03 with the xFlow interface installed on Internet Information Server.

Resolution

Define the MIME types for the xFlow interface in the IIS web server using the following steps:

1. Start the Internet Information Services Manager tool,

2. Navigate to the xFlow web site and click on MIME types:

3. If there is no MIME type for files with .svg or .svgz extensions, then add them:

Add the following MIME types:

File name extension: .svg 

MIME Type: image/svg+xml 

 

File name extension: .svgz 

MIME Type: image/svg+xml 

 

4. Now Restart IIS and check the xFlow interface to see that the images are loaded correctly into the browser.
