Job Setup Warning. No Target Installations found in Evaluation Step.

Issue/Introduction

Problem:

Deploying the Uninstall procedure from the 'CA DSM Agent + AM, RC, SD plugin(s) (ENU,ESN) Win32' Version 12.9.0.338

 plugin to some of the computers results in error. Instant diagnostics shows that the 12.9 version is installed:

 Even though the agent is installed the following error is returned when trying to push the uninstall procedure:

 "Job Setup Warning. No Target installations found in evaluation step":

CA Client Automation - All Versions

  

Cause: 

This is the expected message if the agents that the uninstall procedure is being deployed to do not

have an Installation record for that package. Uninstall, Activate and Configure procedures require

that an installation record exists for the Agent  being  targeted.

 

Workaround:

To get around this error installation records for the package in question can be created via command line.

 The format for the  command is:

sd_acmd AddInstallRecord "<application name>" "<application version>" "<install procedure used>" "<date>" "<time>" "" ""
