Issue/Introduction

After manually clearing a high memory or high CPU threshold alarm in Spectrum, the alarm is not reasserted even though the threshold value is still exceeded.

Cause

Threshold alarms such as Memory and CPU on device models and Utilization, Errors, Discards and Packet Rate on interface models, will not be reasserted after being manually cleared until the value drops below the Reset value configured.

Resolution

The threshold can be reset by doing one of the following:

A. Wait for the value to drop below the Reset value configured.

B. Restart the SpectroSERVER.

C. Disable the threshold and save and then reenter the threshold, reset and duration values.

D. Use Event Configuration to edit the alarm and un-check "Alarm is User Clearable" on the Alarm options tab.
