Issue/Introduction

When attempting to configure the Azure probe (version 3.22 or earlier) using the Template Editor in the Admin Console, users experience the following issues:

- The configuration takes several minutes to load individual items or dialog windows.
- The web browser frequently displays the error: "These pages aren’t responding."

Environment

- Product: DX Unified Infrastructure Management (Nimsoft / UIM)
- Probe: azure (3.x )
- UIM Version: 20.4, 23.4

Cause

These performance bottlenecks and UI instabilities were identified as limitations within the 3.x branch of the Azure probe, particularly when handling complex monitoring templates or large cloud environments. The legacy Java architecture in the 3.x branch could not efficiently process high-latency API responses from Azure within the Admin Console timeout window.

Resolution

To resolve these performance issues, the Azure probe must be upgraded to version 4.0 or higher. This version includes a migration to Java 21 and significant optimizations for the template editor architecture.

NOTE: Before upgrading the probe, ensure the following infrastructure requirements are met:
- DX UIM 23.4 CU5 (or later) must be installed on the robot where the probe resides to support the Java 21 runtime.
