Issue/Introduction

Question:

Is there a way to prevent the volume selection for volumes that have a full VTOC or full VTOC Index?

 

Answer:

When PLSOPT79 is 'N', then, for non-SMS non-VSAM allocations, CA Allocate will interrogate the VTOC of each volume in the storage group and reject any that has no more space in the VTOC.
