Issue/Introduction

Updating Link Aggregation Control Protocol groups on vSphere Distributed Switch task fails while migrating NVDS to CVDS during apply-topology

Environment

NSX-T 3.X 

Cause

 vCenter Server (vpxd) imposes a restriction regarding Link Aggregation Group (LAG) names. Specifically, the LAG name cannot exceed 16 characters.

Resolution

1. Create an uplink profile and apply the transport node profile by making use of existing network adapters if LAG is already in use.

2. Rename the LAG group name, ensuring the name does not exceed 16 characters.

3. Perform the NVDS to CVDS migration.
