Issue/Introduction

This article explains the expiration date for VMware Live Site Recovery Appliance certificate.

Environment

VMware Live Site Recovery 9.0.2

Cause

The self-signed CA and web certificate will be valid for 5 years from the date the certificate was generated.

Resolution

To view the current expiration date of the VMware Live Site Recovery Appliance certificate, perform the following steps:

1. Log in to the VMware Live Site Recovery Appliance Management Interface as admin.
   
   The URL for the VLSR Appliance Management Interface is https://vlsr-appliance-address:5480 .
   
   
2. Select Certificates, view the Expires on date in Appliance Certificate.

Additional Information

• If the appliance certificate is near expiry or has expired, update the certificate. See, Change the VMware Live Site Recovery Appliance Certificate
• Changing the vCenter Server certificate will affect connected products (VLSR, vSphere Replication, etc.).
  After changing the vCenter Server certificate, you will need to reconfigure the VLSR and vSphere Replication products. See, "vSphere Replication and Site Recovery Manager gets disconnected from vCenter server post VC certificate change."  and take appropriate action.
