Data Center Security (DCS) agent XML Importfilelist translation fails with error RIP is invalid

Issue/Introduction

You have tried to use XML list to read the registry keys containing IP addresses and ports. 

The policy translation fails with an exception below:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Data Center Security Server\Agent\IPS\driver\history\policy5942888.sbp.zip,2026-04-07 17:59:44.529 Z-0700,My_Policy,Invalid data in input file C:\test.xml:The RIP is invalid for parametervalue number '1'

Environment

DCS 6.10.1 Windows Agent 

Cause

The translator incorrectly rejects registry reference "%%-64:HKEY_...%%/xx" as an invalid IP address

Resolution

This is a known issue on DCS Agent builds lower than 6.10.1.223 

Upgrade DCS Agent to version 6.10.1.223 or newer.
