Error code 521028 is shown when use internal as TLD (Top Level Domain) to create a FQDN context profile

Issue/Introduction

Cannot create a FQDN context profile using internal as TLD (Top Level Domain). Error code 521028 is shown.

On 2024-07-29, ICANN formally accepts internal as a TLD. It is used for private IP addresses (i.e. 10.0.0.0/8, 172.16.0.0/12 and 192.168.0.0/16)

Environment

All NSX versions

Cause

internal is not recognized by NSX as a valid TLD.

Resolution

This is working as design.
