Issue/Introduction

Using the v9.1 Early Access beta installer to deploy a new VVF, the Review Prerequisites summary mislabeled the IP address network name for a deployment using NFS. The screen labeled the network as vSAN.

The "show details" of the VLAN requirements correctly identified the networks.

However, the FQDNs and IP addresses identified the network as vSAN

Environment

VCF 9.1 Early Access Beta

Cause

A labeling discrepancy in the VCF 9.1 EA Beta installer UI where NFS network components are hardcoded or incorrectly mapped to the "vSAN" label on the summary screen.

Resolution

  1. Acknowledge the labeling discrepancy reported by the customer.
  2. Verify that the "show details" section of the VLAN requirements correctly identifies the NFS network to ensure the underlying configuration is correct.
  3. Advise the customer that since this is an EA Beta release, such UI discrepancies are being tracked for correction in the General Availability (GA) release.
  4. Record the specific screens and fields where "vSAN" appears incorrectly to provide to the engineering/beta team.
  5. Confirm with the customer if they are able to proceed with the deployment despite the incorrect labeling.

Expected Outcome: The customer understands this is a cosmetic UI issue in the beta installer and can proceed with the deployment.
