Issue/Introduction

The CAU for Agent Windows fails to upgrade the Service Manager binaries in case the Service Manager was installed on a folder with spaces.

For example, if we have installed the Service Manager on folder E:\Service Manager, the CAU will always fail with this error in the agent log when renaming the uc.msl:

ERROR 1: rename "E:\Service Manager\bin\uc.msl" uc.msl_old

Environment

Service Manager 24.x and 26.x on Windows installed on a folder with spaces

Cause

Public Description: A problem has been fixed where CAU not updating Service Manager on Windows when installed on folder with spaces.

Resolution

Workaround:

Upgrade the Agent and Service Manager manually replacing the binaries.

Solution:

Update to a fix version listed below or a newer version if available.

IMPORTANT: Only after the Service Manager has been manually updated to a fixed version, the CAU will upgrade correctly the Service Manager during future upgrades.
