Migration question with regards to mixing runtime and compile time Easytrieve modules

Question:  

We would like to know if it is possible to use the Easytrieve r11.0 SP4 compiler programs, with the Easytrieve r11.6 runtime programs?

Answer: 

We cannot determine a methodology for you to accomplish what your users are asking for. For each release, only one LOADLIB is created during the install and it contains the compiler as well as the runtime. Additionally, virtually all modules within the 11.0 and the 11.6 releases have the same name so having both within the LINKLIST will always result in finding the 1st entry within the LINKLIST so, short of using a JOBLIB or STEPLIB within JCL, We have no methodology for how you can do what is being asked.
