Aria Automation Portal 404 Error and Approval Service Initialization Failure due to Provisioning Service Hang

Issue/Introduction

• Accessing the Aria Automation portal returns a 404 Not Found error. 
  
  
•  /opt/scripts/deploy.sh script, the process fails with:
  
  ERROR Release 'approval-service' in namespace 'prelude' failed to come up
  
  
• From the /services-logs/prelude/approval-service-app/file-logs/approval-service-app.log can see the below error: 
  
  YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SS.870Z ERROR approval-service [host='approval-service-app-#######' thread='main' user='' org='' trace=''] o.s.boot.SpringApplication - Application run failed
java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError: null
  

  Caused by: org.springframework.web.client.ResourceAccessException: I/O error on GET request for "http://provisioning-service:8282/provisioning/config/toggles/enable.aria.naming": Read timed out

Aria Automation 8.18.1

Resolution

Issue will be tentatively fixed in Aria Automation 8.18.1 Patch 5 and VCF Automation 9.2.0.0
