Issue/Introduction
- An increase in VMWAIT is observed in esxtop.
- No issues were found in other performance metrics.
Environment
ESXi 8.0
Cause
The calculation of VMWAIT uses the CPU's WAIT and IDLE values. However, in some processes,
VMWAIT increases because the time that should be added to the CPU's IDLE value is not included.
Resolution
This will be fixed in a future release.
